Kelly Morrell, trading as Kelly’s Driving Tuition, is responsible for looking after the personal information collected through the business.

Information I collect

I may collect:

  • your name, address and contact details;

  • your driving licence information;

  • lesson bookings, payments, progress records and lesson notes;

  • information you choose to provide about your driving experience, learning needs or health where this is relevant to your lessons;

  • photographs, reviews or test results, but only with your permission.

Why I use your information

I use your information to:

  • respond to enquiries;

  • arrange and provide driving lessons;

  • check your entitlement to drive;

  • manage bookings and payments;

  • record progress and plan future lessons;

  • communicate with you about your tuition;

  • meet accounting, insurance and legal requirements;

  • protect the safety and legitimate interests of you, me and the business.

Most information is needed so I can provide the service you have requested. Where I use photographs, reviews or identifiable information for marketing, I will ask for your permission first.

Sharing your information

I may use trusted services to manage appointments, payments, communication and online learning. These services only receive information needed for their purpose.

I may also share information with insurers, professional advisers or public authorities where required by law or where necessary to deal with a safety, insurance or legal matter.

I do not sell personal information.

Use of AI tools

I use AI tools to assist with administrative tasks, business planning and marketing content. I do not enter identifiable pupil information into these tools. Names and other details that could identify an individual are removed before any material is used.

Keeping your information

I keep information only for as long as it is reasonably needed. Financial records are retained for the period required by law. Lesson and communication records are normally kept for up to six years after tuition ends, unless there is a reason to retain them for longer.

Information is stored using password-protected devices, accounts and business systems.

Your rights

You may ask me to:

  • provide a copy of your information;

  • correct inaccurate information;

  • delete information where appropriate;

  • restrict or object to how it is used;

  • withdraw permission where consent has been given.
