TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

As a self-employed, independent driving instructor, the contract for tuition is between Kelly Morrell (me) and you.

 

What you can expect from me - I will:

 

  • Behave in a courteous and supportive way

  • Agree clear lesson objectives with you at the start of each lesson

  • Be on time, with a clean car - inside and out

  • Provide you with my mobile phone number

  • Update all your records via the Total Drive app after each lesson, to include your Progress, Appointments and Payments

  • Refund the balance of payments for any unused lessons in the event that you stop having lessons. The amount refunded will exclude any late fees for cancellations or terminated lessons

  • Give you an honest opinion as to your readiness to take the practical driving test

  • Allow you to use my car for practical tests providing you have demonstrated a safe standard of driving. I reserve the right to refuse the use of my car in the event that I feel you are not ready

  • Inform you as soon as possible if a lesson needs to be re-arranged due to unforeseen circumstances

 

In return, I ask that you - the pupil:

 

  • Are able to read a number plate at a distance of 20 metres

  • Bring your photo card provisional driving licence to your first lesson

  • Provide information about your driving licence to me - instructions on how to do this will be provided

  • Download the Total Drive app for free from the Apple App Store or Google Play and allow notifications as this is where broadcast messages will be sent from, together with lesson and payment reminders

  • Wear sensible shoes

  • Inform me of any changes which may affect your entitlement or ability to drive

  • Be in a fit state for your driving lesson. For example, being on medication that causes drowsiness or under the influence of drugs or alcohol is not acceptable. If I suspect you are not in a fit state to drive, the lesson will be terminated and you will be charged the full lesson fee

  • Take regular lessons. Repeated cancellations or gaps in training will result in your slot being released to another student – in this instance, you may re-join the waiting list

 

Pre-payments and cancellations:

 

  • You are required to make full payment for lessons at least 48 hours before your scheduled lesson. Bank transfer is preferred and my bank details will be supplied

  • If you do not make the pre-payment at least 48 hours before your lesson, then I may release your slot to another student. You will receive automated pay reminders directly from the Total Drive app

  • In the event you need to cancel a pre-booked lesson, please contact me immediately - either via the Total Drive app or WhatsApp,

  • Any lessons cancelled with less that 48 hours notice will be charged the full lesson fee

 

Please be advised that I'm unable to provide driving lessons on a fortnightly basis.
